In 2026, we’re celebrating 25 years of publishing “Books for Changing the World.” In those 25 years, we’ve helped build critical space and infrastructure for radical ideas and movements on the left to grow.

Along the way, we’ve expanded beyond the work of a traditional publisher, including programming and political education, opening Haymarket House in Chicago, and our support for incarcerated readers and writers through Books Not Bars and the Writing Freedom fellowship.

Every dollar we take in from book sales and donations goes directly to support our project of publishing books for changing the world. That project has never been more necessary or more urgent.
