The global slump of 2009 fractured the world economy and world politics. As the global economy today plunges into a new slump, we face erupting imperial aggressions and dangerous right-wing insurgencies. Yet, significant forces of resistance persist—in popular revolts, national liberation struggles, feminist insurgencies, and new modes of working-class struggle. This panel analyses these developments and addresses key challenges for the left with respect to imperialism, race, national liberation, and socialist internationalism.
