Brian Jones
Brian Jones has taught second graders, PhD students, and many grades and ages between in New York’s public schools and the City University of New York. Brian is a former associate director of education and a former scholar in residence at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. He also served as inaugural director of the Center for Educators and Schools at the New York Public Library. His first book, The Tuskegee Student Uprising: A History won the Black Caucus of the American Library Association’s 2023 Nonfiction Literary Award.
